Tenev<\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong>) on November 29th at 10 AM, room QA 3rd floor conference roomn.\u00a0One-to-one meetings with the speaker can be arranged; please contact the seminar organizers, Dr. No\u00e9mie Cabau (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:cabau.noemie@gtk.bme.hu\" target=\"_blank\">cabau.noemie@gtk.bme.hu<\/a>) and Dr. Arseniy Samsonov (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:samsonov.arseniy@gtk.bme.hu\" target=\"_blank\">samsonov.arseniy@gtk.bme.hu<\/a>).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>We study a multiple-receiver Bayesian persuasion model in which the sender wants to implement a proposal and commits to a signal which sends correlated messages to multiple receivers who have homogeneous beliefs.\u00a0Receivers are connected in a network and can perfectly observe their direct neighbors&#8217; messages.\u00a0After updating their beliefs, receivers vote for or against the proposal.\u00a0The setup with limited information spillovers creates a significant complication in designing optimal signals.\u00a0We simplify the sender&#8217;s problem by providing partial characterizations for optimal communication and consider applications which are characterized by distinct patterns of voter interaction.\u00a0We show that the sender can achieve the upper bound of the value (i.e. the case with no spillovers) in most of the applications.\u00a0Surprisingly, more communication among the receivers can even be\u00a0<em>strictly better<\/em>\u00a0for the sender and hence\u00a0<em>strictly worse<\/em>\u00a0for the voters.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toygar Kerman (Corvinus University)\u00a0will be presenting his paper &#8220;Persuading Communicating Voters&#8220; (co-authored with Anastas P.
